Island hopping boat holidays in the med are fast becoming a great option for all types of holiday makers, be it groups of friends searching for fun and nightlife or history enthusiasts searching for the ancient Greek ruins. There is something for everyone on a Greek Island boat holiday.
The most popular of the thousand odd Greek Islands scattered around the Agean Sea are the Dodecanese and Cyclades for a number of very good reasons. They are close to each other which reduces the time spent while travelling between the islands. But more importantly most of them are only a stone throw away from the Turkish coastline which makes them easily accessible, ironically, from Turkey and not from the Greek mainland.
There are a number of routes you can select but the best ones are the North Dodecanese route where you can see the beautiful Kos, Leros. Lipsi and more, the South Dodecanese route which will take you to Rhodes for a trip the medieval times and Symi and the Cyclades route which takes you to paradise-like islands such as Santorini and Mykonos.
The summer season runs for 8 months from April to the end of October in Med so you have plenty of time to choose one and have that dream holiday you always wanted.
