Gocek
Located where the Taurus mountain range meets the Mediterranean, Göcek is a stunning and secluded harbour. Largely a destination for boating holidays and sailing, the town hasn’t been developed and so retains a genuine charm. It’s small and friendly and you don’t have to look far to find a boating enthusiast!
With six marinas and hundreds of boats and yachts, Göcek is a world-famous centre for yachting, thanks in no small part to the delights of the surrounding Turkish Riviera. It’s not only a great stop but a great starting point, with Kekova, Kaş, Ölüdeniz and Yassica Islands all within reach as well as the paradise-like coves of Göcek Bay itself.
You can reach Göcek from Dalaman Airport in 25 minutes and we can organise transfers. Visit Airport Transfers to find out more.

Highlights
Coves of GöcekGöcek Bay is home to an array of pristine bays and turquoise coves, bringing paradise to your feet. The Turkish poet and painter, Bedri Rahmi, was inspired by the area and gives his name to one of the coves. He was also apparently among the first people to enjoy a blue cruise in the area; luckily for us the trend caught on. Green olive groves and pine-filled slopes meet turquoise waters in the numerous coves, ensuring you can always find clear water and calm surroundings to drop anchor. In Monastery Cove (Manistir Cove) there’s also the sunken remains of a hamam so be sure to take a snorkel if you’re heading to the coves of Göcek Bay. All routes out of Göcek stop at some of the coves in the bay.
A group of islets full of turquoise coves that will take your breath away. This is a popular spot for gulets and yachts to stop for a dip. As well as pristine waters around the islets, there’s a small pool on one of the islands. You can also take a nice walk around the secluded islets, but be sure to take protective footwear. All routes out of Göcek stop at Yassıca Islands, as well as the Marmaris – Fethiye route.
Ekincik Bay is the home of Iztuzu Beach, a beautiful strip of unspoilt sand also known as Turtle or Caretta Caretta Beach since it’s one of the main breeding grounds for the loggerhead turtle. The bay is the starting point for an optional tour up the Dalyan River. For an extra fee you can take a small boat through the Dalyan delta, an area of outstanding natural beauty. While on the tour you’ll visit the stunning Iztuzu Beach, see the amazing Lycian rock-tombs of Kaunos and get to wallow in a mud bath. This stop is available on the Göcek – Marmaris route, as well as Marmaris – Fethiye and Fethiye – Greek Islands – Göcek.
